As the year winds down, I want to open this blog space with a brief reflection on what I have been working on, a snapshot before we step into 2026. This blog will be where I share reflections, updates, and notes from my academic and creative journey. I am glad to finally begin, after a bit of thoughtful back-and-forth.

My 2025 has very much been a year of foundations. Much of it has been dedicated to laying the groundwork for my MLitt and PhD trajectory, thinking carefully about direction, research focus, long-term academic goals, applications, and all that comes with the process.

Alongside this, I launched my academic engagements, which are natural extensions of who I am as a scholar. It has been a pleasure to give these ideas structure and direction.

I also have two major literary projects lined up for next year, both of which I am genuinely looking forward to. I will keep details minimal for now, as registration and legal processes are still underway. The first is scheduled for the end of the first quarter, around March 2026. The second, a much larger project, is expected to launch in the third quarter, around September. I look forward to sharing more here as they unfold.

Reading, of course, has remained a constant. I have spent much of the year immersed in literary fiction and creative nonfiction. While I would have loved to do a full “year in books,” I did not set out with that intention, so I will let it pass. Instead, I plan to share monthly reading recaps from next year.

I redesigned this website just last month, and I am quite fond of the new template. It reflects where I am now, even if a few sections are still waiting to be filled with upcoming activities and projects.

This blog is meant to be a light space for quick updates, brief reflections, and things I find worth noting. Nothing heavy or overly rigorous, just a glimpse into what I am working on, what I am thinking through, and what I am looking forward to.

Here’s to officially starting the blog, and to what the coming year will bring.

Happy holidays.
