Calista Nkechi Agoha

I am entering the academic year with questions about how literature bears witness, how it resists, and how it carries ecological and social responsibility across time. These concerns have been with me for a while, but they now feel more settled, shaping how I read, research, and approach the work ahead.

I am attentive to ambition and to pace. I want to give ideas the time they need to mature, arguments room to take shape, and serious work the care it demands.

As the academic year begins, I return to the practices that sustain this kind of work: sustained reading, careful thinking, and ongoing scholarly conversation.

I hope this academic season allows for clarity, discipline, and meaningful growth in all of our work.
