About Me

I am a researcher in Postcolonial Ecocriticism and Environmental Humanities with a focus on African and Nigerian literature.

My scholarship explores how fiction responds to environmental crises, reimagines justice, and gives voice to communities often marginalized in dominant ecological narratives.

Beyond academic research, I’m building a literary life rooted in teaching, public scholarship, and community engagement. I value literature not only as a form of knowledge but as a tool for social and ecological transformation.

Background

Nigerian, of Igbo descent, from Imo State. I was born and raised in Kano State, Nigeria, where I completed my primary and secondary education.

In 2011, I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in English Language from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria, and in 2018, a Master’s degree in Literature from the University of Lagos, Nigeria.

I am an incoming PhD student in Literature.
