Introduction

I am a literary scholar, writer, and educator whose work centres on African literature, literary theory, ecological thought, and the practice of reading. I am interested in how literature shapes our understanding of culture, memory, ethics, and the worlds we inhabit. My scholarly work moves across close textual analysis, literary criticism, and interdisciplinary inquiry, with particular attention to the ways literature engages questions of history, identity, environment, and power. Alongside research and writing, I develop literary education initiatives that encourage deeper engagement with texts and ideas.
